Enjoying summer? With it, the festival, party and outside terrace season has started!
We share tips for safe and fun summer:
- It gets hot, so it’s essential to drink water. To avoid overheating, take breaks while dancing.
- Save time for food and sleep. Dehydration, hunger and enhaustion reduce the body’s tolerance to psychoactive substances and increase the risk of overdose.
- Eat before drinking alcohol. Food will help slow the absorption of alcohol into the bloodstream, making it easier to control your alcohol consumption.
- Using psychoactive substances is always risky, and mixing them can increase the likelihood of health problems and overdose.
- If you or someone nearby feels unwell, seek help immediately or call 112.
- Take care of your friends – grab them some water when you go to the bar, stick together, and look out for each other. Make sure everyone gets home safely.
- Do not drive under the influence. If possible, check your sobriety with a breathalyzer before driving. Remember, using psychoactive substances and driving do not mix.
- Protect your hearing and avoid standing close to speakers. Use earplugs.
- To prevent sexually transmitted diseases, use condoms. Mutual consent is essential for sexual relations.
- Pay attention to the temperature differences between day and night. When outdoors, use sunscreen, wear a hat, and have warmer clothes on hand.
