On the last day of spring, Vilnius Night Office participated in a discussion titled “Safer Nightlife”, organized by plur.lt and the cultural space “Utopija”. The aim of this discussion was to educate and empower professionals in this field, as well as partygoers, promote dialogue, and contribute to strengthening safety in nightlife.
Alongside Emilija Gaidytė, the project manager at Vilnius Night Office, the discussion included participants such as Seimas member Morgana Danielė, police representative Agnė Gedaminskaitė, representative of the organization “Jauna Banga” Linas Tamošaitis, artist Rūta Jankauskaitė, and the organizer of the event series “Pakilimas” Haroldas Liudvikas. The discussion was moderated by Marius Čižauskas.

During the discussion, participants addressed current challenges and opportunities in implementing effective harm-reduction measures in nightlife. They also focused on the variety of psychoactive substances, their dangerous combinations, and ways to ensure public safety. The event included discussions on best practices for ensuring safety in nightlife and future directions, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and raising awareness.
We are pleased that the event attendees engaged in the discussion, confirming the relevance of nightlife safety topics.
We thank the organizers for the opportunity to share our experiences and insights. We believe that such discussions are a step toward strengthening cooperation and moving forward with a shared vision.
