2000-aisiais metais Kanados bliuzo žvaigždė Johnny V įrašė albumą su Latvijos bliuzo muzikantais po ko sekė koncertinis turas Kanadoje, kas ir tapo grupės pradžia. Grupės pasirodė daugybėje šalių, įskaitant ne tik Europą, bet ir JAV bei Afrikos ir Azijos žemynus.
Ypatingai malonus grupei buvo kvietimas į Čikagos bliuzo festivalį, kur Latvian Blues band tapo pirmąja Europine grupe pagrojusia šiame festivalyje per visą jo istoriją.
2009-ais metais grupė laimėjo bliuzo konkursą Vokietijoje, taip užtikrindama sau vietą bliuzo konkurso Memfyje (Memphis, Tennesee) finale.
Daugybė kitų apdovanojimų, koncertinių turų ir išleistų albumų sekė po to.

In the year 2000, Canadian blues star Johnny V recorded an album with Latvian blues musicians, followed by a concert tour in Canada – and that’s how the band was born. Since then, the group has performed in numerous countries, including not only throughout Europe, but also in the United States, as well as in Africa and Asia. One especially memorable moment for the band was being invited to the Chicago Blues Festival, where Latvian Blues Band became the first European group ever to perform in the festival’s history.
In 2009, the band won a blues competition in Germany, earning them a spot in the finals of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. Many more awards, international tours, and album releases followed.
