(un)conformity is the first vinyl album by rookas on static motion.
Days didn’t announce themselves. They stacked up, one on the next, and the surface stayed calm. But underneath, nothing was moving and everything was moving. What looked like stillness was charge, gathering, a low hum, a pressure at the edge of sense.
And by the time anyone noticed, it had already happened, somewhere back in missing time. It still has not arrived.
Ambient depths in and out of phase, synths drenched in delays and reverbs collapsing into something enormous, almost happening.
Seven of the ten pieces are cut to red vinyl in an edition of fifteen.
