„Being famous is so nice…“ – su šia eilute ir iššaukiančia jos pabaiga užaugo visa karta, kuriai Kittin pristatinėti tikrai nereikia. Kitiems paprasčiausia paaiškinti, kad be šio vardo electroclash scena būtų praradusi nemažą dalį aštrumo. “Being famous is so nice…” – an entire generation grew up singing the line and its provocative ending, and for them, Kittin hardly needs an introduction. For everyone else, the simplest way to put it is that without her, electroclash would have lost a fair share of its edge. Yet the pioneer of the genre isn’t just a blast from the past – she continues to tour the world, collaborate with names like The Hacker, Ellen Allien and FJAAK, play at electronic music’s key institutions, and create her distinctly cold, dissociative, yet undeniably alluring electronics. Vilnius hasn’t seen her in over a decade – a situation we’re fixing this autumn with her debut in the ELASTICA dungeon.
