Šį penktadienį, balandžio 25 d. Draugų varduose, Will Peckas pristatys naują piešinį „N“, kurį sukūrė kartu su langus valančiu robotu. Nuo 20 val. prisijunkite šia ypatinga proga lengvam pokalbiui ir spritzui su Willu 🍹

„N“ yra dalis tęstinės menininko kūrinių serijos, kurioje naudojami pusiau autonominiai navigacijos įrenginiai. Piešiniuose, sukurtuose ant žemės, langų ar sienų, tyrinėjami skirtingi šių prietaisų jutimo ir judėjimo būdai.

Willas Peckas (g. 1991 m., Norvičas, Jungtinė Karalystė) kuria atspaudus, vaizdo įrašus, vaizdus ir piešinius naudodamas tokius prietaisus kaip LiDAR skenuojantys dulkių siurbliai, spausdintuvai, jutikliniai ekranai, šilumai jautrus fakso popierius ir kompiuterio pelės. Šiuose kūriniuose tyrinėjami kintantys mašinų ir materialumo santykiai.

Willas 2017 m. baigė vaizduojamojo meno studijas Sandbergo institute Amsterdame. Naujausios parodos: „Deebot Drawings“ Naujausio piešimo centre (JK), „Night Scans“ parodoje „Heldnerizer Contemporary“ (DE) ir „Air Sensor“, „Lavender Opener Chair“ (JP).

Will Peck’s new drawing ‘N’, created together with a window-cleaning bot, will be presented at Draugų Vardai this Friday, April 25th. Join us from 8 pm for a light chat and a spritz with Will present 🍹

‘N’ is part of an ongoing series of works by the artist using semi-autonomous navigation devices. The drawings, made on the ground, windows, or walls, explore the distinct ways these devices sense and navigate.

Will Peck (b. 1991, Norwich, UK) creates prints, videos, images, and drawings using devices such as LiDAR-scanning vacuums, printers, touchscreens, heat-sensitive fax paper, and computer mice. These outcomes explore shifting relationships between machines and materiality.

Will graduated in Fine Art from the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam in 2017. Recent exhibitions include Deebot Drawings at Centre for Recent Drawing (UK), Night Scans at Heldnerizer Contemporary (DE), and Air Sensor, Lavender Opener Chair (JP).

“Friends' Names” is an art and music space founded and curated in Vilnius by contemporary artists Antanas Gerlikas and Kotryna Butautytė. Established at the end of 2022, the space has already gathered a large community around itself, the basis of which is made up of creators and lovers of professional art and high-quality contemporary music. Since its inception, the “Friends' Names” space has occupied a unique place in Vilnius. The interior of the space is designed and created by the artists and curators of the space, Antanas Gerlikas and Kotryna Butautytė, constantly updating it and including and nurturing the initiatives of other artists and creators. One of these is the perfume showcase curated by artist Elena Narbutaitė. - In collaboration with acoustic engineer Vytautas Budzejs and Rolandas Mažulis, an acoustic system was created specifically for this space. This system guarantees one of the highest acoustic sound qualities in Vilnius. It is the only artist-run space in Vilnius offering a hybrid cultural program that includes presentations by contemporary visual artists, performances by contemporary experimental music artists, and performances by sound artists.
