Viktorija Gečytė & The Vibe Tribe marks a new stage in their journey. The vibraphone is the only harmonic instrument here, giving the music transparency, space and rhythmic lightness. It is a sound that naturally blends swing, blues, folkloric memory and contemporary jazz. The identity of the ensemble is collective and lively, based on deep listening, not hierarchy.

Living in Paris since 2008, Viktorija has built an international career. Critics often describe her voice as luminous, velvety or even angelic, but her uniqueness lies in her relationship with the song. She doesn’t embellish melodies – she tells stories. Every phrase breathes, every pause has weight, creating a special feeling of closeness with the listener.

The current quartet was formed in September 2019 by four musicians with strong individual voices and deep roots in the European jazz scene. Italian vibraphonist and composer Nicholas Thomas is known for his lyrical expression and subtle harmonic thinking. American double bassist and pedagogue Peter Giron provides the ensemble with a solid and flexible foundation, while French drummer and bandleader Mourad Benhammou is known for his „unbreakable precision“ and „strongly original sound.“.

Viktorija will present music from her latest album MOTHER (released in December 2025). This is her fourth collaboration with renowned American double bassist Gene Perla.
