On June 11, Scanorama kicks off its summer season and invites you to an opening night at the cultural complex SODAS 2123. The European cinema experience will be extended with live music, conversations, and a summer city picnic.
This year, the opening event is being organized together with Vilnius University radio station START FM and its event series RADARAS, dedicated to discovering alternative music, culture and community. This partnership will give the opening of Scanorama Summer a unique sound – somewhere between a film screening, an open space and a live meeting with creators.
The evening will begin with the award-winning film "To Dust You Will Return" by Spanish director Carlos Marques-Marcet at the Toronto Film Festival - a musical drama that reflects on love, human transience, and the power of imagination even when life approaches its limitless experiences.
After the screening, the program will be continued by the band "SACRÉBLUE" from the "START FM" event series "RADARAS". Moving from alternative rock to melancholy, dreamy, atmospheric and experimental motifs, the band will invite you to a sensitive summer sound, where hope meets fragile inner states.
