About the event
The premiere of Šeiko's dance performance ONAS will take place in Vilnius on February 20 and 21! On Saturday, February 21, immediately after the premiere, we invite you to a discussion!
Discussion participants:
◾one of the choreographers of the performance, founder and director of the Šeiko Dance Theater – Agnija Šeiko;
◾playwright, theatre expert, doctor of humanities – Goda Dapšytė;
◾historian, writer – Kristina Petrasukė.
The conversation will invite you to take a deeper look at the creative process of the performance and its inspirations: from the first questions that prompted us to look back at the unspoken histories of manors and women's experiences, to choreographic solutions that perceive the body as a carrier of architecture and memory. The discussion will also reflect on the meaning of "ONOS" as a generic name - as a symbol that unites many unheard women's voices in history, and discuss how this work continues the direction of "dance archaeology" developed by Šeikos Dance Theatre.
This discussion is part of the project "Šeikio Theatre Premiere in Vilnius: Contemporary Dance Performance ONOS" by the Public Institution Strumi Projects.

Dūmų Fabrikas is a unique event venue housed in a historic 19th-century building that was once home to the world's largest scythe factory. The 1,200 m² complex includes a 750 m² event space, while the remaining area is occupied by the modern craft brewery Sakiškės Brewery. With ceilings reaching 12 meters in height, the venue can accommodate up to 1,050 guests at a time.
