EIII Releases Second Album Refractions via UK Label Opal Tapes
On May 23, experimental electronic music project EIII releases its second full-length album, Refractions, under UK label Opal Tapes.
Elll’s forthcoming release cuts straight to the heart of Opal Tapes’ sonic philosophy. This is ugly beauty at its most potent—strength emerging from fragility, with texture and tone dominating any conceptual concerns. The gradual deterioration of carefully constructed patterns creates moments where imperfection becomes the point rather than the problem. Opal Tapes
Following the 2024 debut album Undulations, EIII has become an active presence in the Baltic electronic scene, performing live shows across Latvia and Baltic states.
These performances have included collaborations with international artists such as new media artist Oleksandr Sirous, vocal artist Eleonora Kampe, and musician Reinis Jaunais.
EIII’s live sets balance sound art and electronic improvisation, offering a captivating audiovisual experience for intimate venues or interdisciplinary events.

“Friends' Names” is an art and music space founded and curated in Vilnius by contemporary artists Antanas Gerlikas and Kotryna Butautytė. Established at the end of 2022, the space has already gathered a large community around itself, the basis of which is made up of creators and lovers of professional art and high-quality contemporary music. Since its inception, the “Friends' Names” space has occupied a unique place in Vilnius. The interior of the space is designed and created by the artists and curators of the space, Antanas Gerlikas and Kotryna Butautytė, constantly updating it and including and nurturing the initiatives of other artists and creators. One of these is the perfume showcase curated by artist Elena Narbutaitė. - In collaboration with acoustic engineer Vytautas Budzejs and Rolandas Mažulis, an acoustic system was created specifically for this space. This system guarantees one of the highest acoustic sound qualities in Vilnius. It is the only artist-run space in Vilnius offering a hybrid cultural program that includes presentations by contemporary visual artists, performances by contemporary experimental music artists, and performances by sound artists.
