What kind of music do you imagine when you think of Christmas? Do you hear a choir? If so, you probably feel its powerful sound enveloping you and beginning a journey into the very heart of Christmas.
Here, each of you will find what you have been waiting for the most all year – light, tranquility, comfort, miracle. The choirs "Artyn" and "Sonoros" find here music that connects heaven with earth and man with man.
At the Christmas concert, the choirs will perform a program by the Norwegian composer Ola Gjeil, who works in the USA, the depths of which they delved into this year by performing with the composer himself in Berlin. Melodious, elegant works will tell about the beauty of the cold, the vastness of the sky and the miracle of birth. The choirs will share the stage with two pianists: Dovydas Baltrimavicius and Kazimieras Krulikovskis. Inspired by the composer's love of improvisation, the performers will present the audience with never-before-heard interpretations of Gjeil's works. The concert will be complemented by Christmas melodies and reflections on fate from Nigeria, America, Ukraine, Estonia and Lithuania.
