„"Pa(ra)gauti folklore" invites you to the first meeting of the new year! On January 22, at 7 p.m., the folklore ensemble "Vilnelė", celebrating its 30th anniversary, will gather for a cozy winter evening at the "Miesto laboratorija" (Antakalnio g. 17-13). ✨
The folklore ensemble "Vilnelė" of the Vilnius Garrison Officers' Regiment of the Lithuanian Armed Forces is a community that has been in existence for three decades, and has been led by its leader Laima Purlienė since day one. The repertoire of "Vilnelė" reveals authentic folklore from different ethnographic regions of Lithuania, and a special place is occupied by military folklore from various periods - volunteer, partisan, exile and patriotic songs and stories.
The event "Pa(ra)gauti folklore" is not a concert, but an invitation to get to know the custodians of folklore and learn their beloved songs, so the evening will be a great opportunity to learn about the path taken by the ensemble and discover the songs that are being performed live today.
