Developed in collaboration with The House of Histories, UTOPIJA was established in 2023 in the courtyard of a former detention centre and manor. It is symbolic that a place where artists and creatives were once imprisoned has, through cultural initiative, become a space where music, art, and freedom can flourish once again. UTOPIJA celebrates alternative culture, street art, and bold, uncompromising music. Its programme of concerts, parties, and cultural events brings together both Vilnius residents and visitors, while providing a home for diverse communities across the city. With its raw, unpolished character, UTOPIJA embraces the city's rebellious spirit and offers a counterbalance to Vilnius' more polished side.
