About the event

SCIENCE IN THE KITCHEN is a series of informal short lectures in which we talk about science in a casual way, over a glass of wine or dinner.
On October 21, at 6:30 PM, our guest is Darius Jermala, a doctoral student at the Lithuanian Center for Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, with a lecture "PhytoSense - can plants tell us what they need?"„
Can plants tell us that they are too dry, too hot, or lacking something – even before their leaves turn yellow or wilt?
We will talk about how plants respond to their environment, what invisible signals they can emit, and how technology can help us "hear" them before the problem becomes visible.
Darius studies plants through their nutrition, condition, and technology. He introduces himself to children as a plant doctor, to adults as a plant nutritionist.
Plants speak. We listen.

There is no registration, but we recommend reserving a table in advance via FB/Insta message or by phone 066528098.
