Kapela Kotra invites everyone to a folk music and dance festival at the City Laboratory on Wednesday, November 12th! Admission is free, but a donation of 5 euros is recommended.

„Kapela Kotra is a Vilnius-based Belarusian-Australian folk music group performing traditional instrumental and vocal music from Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland for listening and dancing. Kapela Kotra works with a repertoire of early 20th century field recordings, arranging these old melodies in a way that preserves historical authenticity, but at the same time presents a fresh, lively interpretation.
The group's current project is the research, interpretation, arrangement, and performance of Belarusian Litvak music recorded in the ethnomusicological collections of Sofia Magid, Susman Kiselgof, and Ina Nazina.
