In my creative practice, I let the sound material spin until something is heard that was not in the material itself or in my thoughts. Those peculiar ghosts – mystical, poetic echoes of being – are what drive the work forward.
„White Rose” – a piece for synthesizer and piano from the album „Geographical States” – is one where I still hear this method most clearly. The piano part came about at the suggestion of the synthesizer – much earlier than Tomas played it; the mobile phone interference that sounds in the piece happened during the recording when I received a call from Lina. When I included the piece on the album, I felt that it had potential for new iterations in the future – and this concerto is one of them.
PDM listeners will hear works that are already familiar to them and works that have not yet been heard, and some will be performed by beautiful guests (names will be revealed soon).
Come listen, experience the relaxing flow of time and the warmth of the people who listen.
