The club's new season will open on September 18, but after agreeing with Justas Selenis, the initiator and leader of "Jazz In Case", we decided to give Vilnius residents and guests of the city a beautiful evening of music on the occasion of the beginning of the school year, as a warm-up for the "Vilnius Days" festival.
The concert program will feature works by famous jazz composers Bill Evans, Bobby Timmons, George Gershwin, and Duke Ellington. Along with traditional swing, listeners will hear sensitive ballads and compositions colored with Latin rhythms.
Austėja Kazlauskaitė, who is studying vocals at the Klaipėda Stasys Šimkus Conservatory, has already performed with the conservatory's big band, the Lithuanian Navy Wind Orchestra, and has also participated in television musical projects.
The club's "Jazz In Case" concert at the end of the spring season received a lot of attention and excellent reviews from the audience, and tonight the quartet will perform with a slightly different lineup than usual. The group will be joined by saxophonist Davit Avetisyan, founder and leader of the jazz group "21st Century Quintet", participant in various musical projects, and double bassist Aistis Kondratas, a graduate of the Prince Klaus Conservatory.
