When jazz meets contemporary music, improvisation becomes language and rhythm becomes history.
On August 29, the international project "Unity", led by Cypriot pianist, keyboardist and composer Christos Yerolatsitis, will make its debut on the DOWNTOWN PIANO LAB stage.

This is a meeting of four exceptional European musicians on one stage. Together with Christos, one of the most prominent saxophonists in the Baltic States, Toms Rudzinskis, drummer Stelios Xydias, and bassist Cahit Kutrafali - performers whose musical experience combines different cultures, traditions, and directions of contemporary jazz.

„Unity's music is born between free improvisation, hypnotic rhythms and sensitive melodies. It is a contemporary jazz, where complex musical ideas are conveyed easily and naturally, so the concert attracts not only jazz fans, but also everyone looking for a live, emotional and authentic musical experience.

Each piece is like a living dialogue between the musicians, where spontaneity merges with precise arrangements, and energy shifts into quiet, introspective moments. It is this balance that gives the project the name "Unity" - a unity born from different voices.
