About the event
The Ensemble of Cultural Approximation (aka teca) is a diverse group of multi-instrumentalists from Rotterdam/Amsterdam. Whether you call their music cumbia, shroombia or even klumpia, the important thing is that when they play, you can't stop dancing to Colombian-Peruvian rhythms with a strong European liqueur.
“"If life's been dull lately, just take an intercity direct between Rotterdam and Amsterdam, where in the fun wagon you can put a 3 euro coin in a whimsical jukebox. It will transport you in a blink of an eye to a state of temperature rising well above 25 degrees celsius, ouzo oozing through your veins and your feet approximately grooving, while your friend is synchronizing
their hips to yours. HOT!
TECA isn't just a band. It's the sound of the shroombia. It's a minibar!”

KOSTMOSAS Subculture House is a truly alternative cultural space where differences are not meant to divide, but to inspire curiosity and discovery. Dedicated to subcultural expression and DIY ethics rather than commercial success, the venue places creativity, individuality, and artistic freedom above profit. It serves as an alternative cultural boutique where artists working across visual art and sound can both create and present their work. At KOSTMOSAS, nightlife is understood not simply as entertainment, but as a platform for alternative culture, community building, and self-expression. The program focuses on non-mainstream genres, giving equal space to established artists and emerging creators. Rather than seeking mass appeal, the venue aims to reach its community through authenticity, direct engagement, and word-of-mouth communication rooted in DIY culture. Reflecting this philosophy, the venue has no prominent exterior signage. One of the project's core goals is to restore the primacy of artistic content over consumption. Another is to build a community that can help revive and cultivate similar non-commercial cultural initiatives throughout Lithuania's regions.
