⭕️ On October 16, at 7 p.m., the Lithuanian Symphony Wind Orchestra led by Karolis Variakojas will perform in the magnificent space of "Kabilis" - the audience can expect the MUSIC AS DIALOGUE program of the MUZIKOS RUDUO festival and the BALTIC MUSIC DAYS festival - which will feature premieres by Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian composers! ⭕️
____________
In the program prepared for the festival, MUSIC AS DIALOGUE, led by conductor Karolis Variakojas, the musicians of the Lithuanian Symphony Wind Orchestra will present as many as three premieres, and two more works will be performed in Lithuania for the first time.
The program includes compositions by Ramūnas Motiekaitis, Mykolas Natalevičius, Marius Salynas (Lithuania), Gaitis Jānis Pujāts (Latvia) and Kristjans Kõrver (Estonia). Inspired by various sources – from Charles Ives' collage aesthetics to spiritual themes based on quotations from the Holy Scripture, from natural phenomena to stylized allusions to cinema – the works will reveal the festival theme through a creative dialogue between these phenomena and music.
The Lithuanian Symphony Wind Orchestra is a versatile and open ensemble that performs music of various genres and styles. In recent years, it has become an extremely active promoter of contemporary Lithuanian music, having commissioned and performed more than fifteen new works by Lithuanian composers.

This year, MUSIC DUDUO is joining forces with the BALTIC MUSIC DAYS festival, which takes place in a different Baltic country every year.
This year's festival theme, CHANGING MEANINGS, invites you to look at intermedia and simultaneously explore various forms of meaning transformation, observe the process of change itself, and discover how, depending on the medium, a completely new field of meanings opens up.
The theme was not chosen by chance: in 2025 we celebrate the 150th anniversary of MK Čiurlionis' birth. In his work, music and painting intertwined synesthetically, creating one of the most striking examples of how different artistic languages can extend and transform each other.
Organized by: Public Institution "Musical Autumn"„
Funded by: Lithuanian Council for Culture and Vilnius City Municipality
Strategic partner: Lithuanian Composers' Union, Baltic Contemporary Music Network„
Information partner: LRT Klasika.
