VšĮ “Involved” – winners of the second dainykla competition

Vilnius Night Office is pleased to announce that the Vilnius City Municipality’s space rental competition for the premises at Pylimo St. 21B has a winner. Two participants competed in the contest: UAB “Pliusai” and VšĮ “Involved”. We congratulate the current operators of Paviljonas, VšĮ “Involved”, on their victory and wish them success in their future activities!

Cultural activities have been held for many years in the park area at Pylimo St., so it is important to ensure their continuity. The competition winners will have to adhere to the set criteria and create opportunities to continue innovative cultural activities, artist performances, and civic and community events.

The criteria are aimed at promoting musical performances by groups and DJs, as well as other cultural events, such as comedy nights, poetry readings, plays, recitations, dance performances, or other public events. In addition to cultural activities, Paviljonas will be required to participate in all safety, prevention, and harm-reduction campaigns, as well as staff training, organized by the municipality and the Vilnius Night Office.

Vilnius strives to promote the development of talent in the city. Examples from other cities show that this approach improves the quality of life, generates more revenue, and reduces inequality. The goal of Vilnius City Municipality is to ensure accessible cultural content for all visitors while supporting diversity based on democratic principles.

We note that the Pylimo St. 21B space rental competition was a pilot and applied to municipality-owned premises. The competition was conducted as a bidding process, and the winner was the participant who met all the criteria and offered the highest price. Based on the success of the pilot music venue activities, the promotion program will be expanded by creating a network of music venues where all private businesses can participate in their chosen locations.
