\nInterstate Express are one of Europe\u2019s leading performers of American \u2018Old Time\u2019 traditional music. Known for their high-energy performances of Appalachian fiddle tunes and deeply rooted interpretations of ballads, blues, early country songs and ragtime recorded a century ago, the band captures both the train-like power of the music and it\u2019s more intimate and vulnerable sides, while also adding their own aesthetic, and even compositions to each performance. Led by American fiddler Craig Judelman, who has studied with traditional musicians from across the USA, the band features the dazzling banjo playing and charming dance-leading of Joe Buirski, and is anchored by Jack B. Latimer’s piercing harmony vocals and intricate, old-time guitar playing \u2014which drives the band with such force that listeners are often certain there’s a bass player hiding backstage.
