\nIn the year 2000, Canadian blues star Johnny V recorded an album with Latvian blues musicians, followed by a concert tour in Canada \u2013 and that\u2019s how the band was born. Since then, the group has performed in numerous countries, including not only throughout Europe, but also in the United States, as well as in Africa and Asia. One especially memorable moment for the band was being invited to the Chicago Blues Festival, where Latvian Blues Band became the first European group ever to perform in the festival\u2019s history.
\nIn 2009, the band won a blues competition in Germany, earning them a spot in the finals of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. Many more awards, international tours, and album releases followed.
