On May 29, MO Museum<\/a> will host the presentation of graphic designer Ringail\u0117 Dem\u0161yt\u0117\u2019s book\u00a0Vilnius Nightlife Graphics 1992\u20132024<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 the first publication of its kind documenting more than three decades of Vilnius nightlife visual culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The book features over 350 selected visuals \u2014 posters, flyers, and fragments of event communication \u2014 alongside eight interviews with artists and scene participants reflecting on the evolution of Vilnius nightlife from the first rave events to the present day. Covering the period from 1992 to 2024, the publication serves not only as a visual archive but also as an important document of the city\u2019s cultural memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPosters, although often perceived as temporary, feel to me like an important form of communication. They reflect the issues, moods, and society of a particular time,\u201d says the book\u2019s author, Ringail\u0117 Dem\u0161yt\u0117.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

According to the author, the project was born from a desire to preserve the stories and visual language of a scene that for a long time had never been systematically documented. Over several years, Dem\u0161yt\u0117 collected archival material, interviewed members of the scene, and developed a publication that now stands as a living testimony to Vilnius nightlife culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are very proud to be partners of this project. This is not only a book about design or nightlife \u2014 it is an important archive of Vilnius cultural history. Ringail\u0117 has done remarkable work preserving a scene that until now often existed only in memories, personal archives, and fleeting forms of communication,\u201d says the Vilnius Night Office.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The book presentation will take place on May 29 at MO Museum (Pylimo St. 17). The event begins at 6 PM and will include a conversation with the author, as well as an opportunity to meet her and purchase the book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the presentation, the evening will continue with an afterparty at SODAS 2123 (Vitebsko St. 23).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is free and open to everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
