From 6 PM onward, the museum spaces will come alive with storytelling, music, creative activities, educational programs, and unexpected experiences that encourage people to explore history not only through sight, but also through hearing, smell, and touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Postas-1-3-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-38135\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Postas-1-3-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Postas-1-3-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Postas-1-3-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Postas-1-3-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Postas-1-3-12x12.jpg 12w, https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Postas-1-3.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In Vilnius \u2013 a nighttime epicenter of history and unique experiences<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During Museum Night, all LNM branches will stay open longer than usual and invite visitors to explore both permanent exhibitions and a special program prepared specifically for the occasion \u2014 free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the&nbsp;Gediminas Castle Tower, Museum Night participants will not only be able to visit for free but also take part in special activities. Families are invited to the educational adventure \u201cMission: Iron Wolf,\u201d where visitors will solve puzzles and unlock a mysterious chest. Short, dynamic tours titled \u201cStories from the Past\u201d will also take place, introducing visitors to the story of Vilnius\u2019 founding, its legends, and the development of the Upper Castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Fot.-Alexander-Gaidalym-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-38184\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Fot.-Alexander-Gaidalym-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Fot.-Alexander-Gaidalym-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Fot.-Alexander-Gaidalym-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Fot.-Alexander-Gaidalym-1-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Fot.-Alexander-Gaidalym-1-18x12.jpg 18w, https:\/\/vnb.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Fot.-Alexander-Gaidalym-1.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo: Alexander Gaidalym<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Nearby, at the foot of Gediminas Hill in the Pilininkas House, visitors will encounter different kinds of experiences \u2014 including the presentation of a playful new historical comic book,&nbsp;<em>\u201cThe Six Values of Castle Warden Petras Nonhartas, or the Story of Six Pickled Cucumbers,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;as well as the unique olfactory exhibition&nbsp;<em>\u201cLiturgical Scents of Lithuanian Faiths,\u201d<\/em>where history is revealed through aromas. During Museum Night, guided tours about witchcraft trials in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and scent tastings exploring the traditions of different religions through smell will also take place there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, at the Old Arsenal, visitors are invited on an educational journey through the history of fire and light, exploring early hearths and the symbolic importance of fire in human life. At the&nbsp;Vilnius Defensive Wall Bastion, history will come alive through hands-on experience \u2014 visitors will be able to try archery in the educational activity \u201cArrow Through Time.\u201d Nearby, the creative initiative \u201cGive Five to Ukraine\u201d will invite participants to contribute to a symbolic gesture of support by creating a collective artwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The House of Histories will invite visitors to travel even farther. Interactive tours will introduce the culture of the Ainu people \u2014 the indigenous inhabitants of northern Japan \u2014 while guests will hear live stories about their worldview and participate in creative activities. Samsonas<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>At other LNM branches \u2014 including the&nbsp;Jonas \u0160li\u016bpas Museum, the&nbsp;Vincas Kudirka Museum, and the&nbsp;Jonas Basanavi\u010dius Birthplace&nbsp;\u2014 visitors can also enjoy a diverse program featuring performances, live music, contemporary art, folklore, and educational tours.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>All LNM Museum Night events from 6 PM onward will be free of charge, although exhibitions during the daytime will operate under normal admission conditions.
